In brief

What works, what to weigh

+

Strengths

4 reasons to book
  • Panoramic city views from a hilltop position — The hotel sits on a hill, and several guests highlight the sweeping vistas over Gdansk's old town from rooms and common areas.
  • Spacious, well-equipped rooms — Rooms come with tea and coffee facilities, flat-screen TVs, and some have fireplaces or jacuzzis. Guests note the rooms are larger than typical hotel standards.
  • Helpful, friendly staff — Multiple reviews call out the staff as accommodating, helpful, and fluent in English, particularly during the day.
  • Solid breakfast with variety — Breakfast gets consistent praise for being tasty and offering a wide range of options, served in a quiet dining area.

Worth weighing

4 to weigh
  • Not right in the city centre — The hotel is about a 25-minute walk from the Green Gate, so a stroll is needed to reach the main sights. A 5-minute drive gets you to the centre.
  • Pets not allowed — The property does not permit pets, so you'll need to make other arrangements if travelling with an animal.
  • Check-in window limited to 15:00–23:00 — If you arrive late, you may miss the check-in window, so plan your arrival accordingly. Late arrivals aren't accommodated beyond 23:00.
  • Property is up a hill — The hillside location delivers views but means a climb to reach the hotel, which some might find tiring with heavy luggage.

“I spent a few nights here and loved it. My top-floor room was split over two levels with a snug lounge and modern bathroom below, and a stylish bedroom up a spiral staircase. The hilltop position gives you great city views. Day staff spoke good English and were really helpful. The room had clean blankets, glassware, tea-making bits, and fresh towels. Breakfast was solid too. Overall, a calm, well-priced spot not far from the centre.”

8.2Verified guest

“Excellent value for the size and quality of the rooms. Staff were helpful and friendly. The location worked for both business and leisure – I did both. Would recommend.”

“Really enjoyable stay. The room was cosy, clean and nicely designed, and breakfast had plenty of choice. Being a 5-minute drive from Gdansk's centre was a definite plus.”

“Cheap price and a good breakfast. It's in a quiet area close to the centre, which suited me. Staff were friendly and sorted out a couple of issues we had.”

8.2Verified guest

“We came for a family get-together and stayed an extra night to see Gdansk. The hotel is well placed for walking into the city. Rooms are spacious with lovely decor – much bigger than typical UK hotel rooms – and very clean. Staff were helpful and friendly, and breakfast was superb with lots of choice in a quiet, family-friendly dining room. We'd stay again and would recommend it.”

“Nice staff, clean room, decent value for money.”
